When a CFL bulb burns out… make sure to dispose of it properly, because the contain a very small amount of mercury sealed within the glass tubing. The Enviromental Protection Agency recommends that consumers recycle these bulbs. Local recyclig options are listed at http://wwwepa.gove/bulbrecycling or http://www.earth911.org/. Home Depot also accepts intact light bulbs for recycling.
